Do you have a specific goal for your dog? Do you want to work on a few things from your classes? Then try out our Day Academy!
Academy is designed to help you and your dogs reach your goals. Whether this be agility, frisbee, obedience, or even socialization – your dog has a tailored program to meet your needs, for the day(s) you select.
Dogs are under monitored training and care by our educated staff, who will provide you daily updates on your dog and their goals. Academy runs from 8am to 5pm. Monday through Friday, on a reservation or wait list basis.
STAFF
ALEXIS VEGA
“Lex” has been in the canine business since 2019 – where she began in doggie daycare and kennel attending. She also has a degree in vet care assisting. Lex began taking classes at Central K9 in 2022, and in 2025 was given the opportunity to work at Central K9.
Lex teaches Academy, where she loves working with different dogs and helping their skills.
When she is not working, Lex loves to travel, compete in dock dive, barn hunt, frisbee, scent work, and fast cat with her sport dog, Brooklyn.
Lex lives in Enfield CT, with her 3 dogs, sassy bird and rabbit.
EMILY MARTINEAU
Emily is one of the newest team members to Central K9, starting in 2025. However, Emily started attending Central K9 in 2021 with her first dog, Chipper! This sparked her desire to work with dogs, and dedicate her time to learning more about training.
Today, Emily is one of our Academy Teachers, where she loves working with dogs to build up their skills and confidence. Emily actively competes in agility, barn hunt, frisbee, and dock diving.
Emily is a Lebanon, CT local where she lives with her 2 dogs and 2 cats!
